Earth is the third planet from the Sun. On June 18, 2020, it was invaded by Death Angels. Notably, Lee Abbott repaired a hearing aid for his daughter, Regan, which led to the discovery that the creatures were weak against the frequency that it emitted. It was later discovered by Emmett that the creatures were unable to swim and were therefore weak, in some cases, against water.

Death Angels invasion[]
Day 1[]

On June 18, 2020, Earth was invaded by Death Angels. On that day, many in attendance at a Millbrook baseball game, observed a mysterious object in the sky. Soon after, the Death Angels tore their way across the town, killing many and attacking others, including the Abbott family. Beau, Evelyn, Lee, Marcus and Regan Abbott managed to escape the creatures, but their friend, Emmett, lost his two sons to the creatures. Also among the dead was Ronnie, a police officer and acquaintance of Lee, who died attempting to keep the Abbotts safe from one of the creatures.
On the same day, Henri, Sam, Eric, Reuben, and Frodo were in New York City. Alex Taylor and her boyfriend, Martin Edwards, were also witnesses to the arrival of the Death Angels. Soon the Death Angels landed in countries such as the United States, Canada, Mexico, Colombia, Egypt, Morocco, China, India, Singapore, France, United Kingdom, Germany, Russia, Sweden, Israel, South Korea, and Nigeria. The Death Angels soon emerged and began to slaughter majority of people due to the noise attracting them. The world's nations soon united to try and fight the Death Angels as civilians attempt to flee. Due to their dense body armor they were able to resist any forms of attacks and thus making it difficult to fight them. As a result the Death Angels began attacking neighboring countries at an alarming rate and decimated the human and animal populations alike. It was later discovered that the creatures cannot swim in water and boat evacuations were beginning from mainland to island nations that survived the invasion.
Post-Invasion[]
Following the invasion a majority of Earth's governments have collapsed or retreated underground. Those in mainland countries were forced to adapt by using sign language, fire communication, and usage of sand paths to avoid making sounds. Survivors in island nations like Australia, New Zealand, Iceland, Cuba, etc. were able to do their normal activities without the fear of being attacked by the Death Angels.
