After hearing a radio signal, Emmett and Regan began a journey to find an island of survivors. They eventually arrived at the Marina, where they came across her, who was seemingly alone. She was crouched down on the deck and cowering. Emmett cautiously approached and she tied a noose around his neck. She was then joined by a group of scroungy-looking men, led by the "Marina Man". The group then got violent with Regan, ripping of her jacket and removing her implant. As they began to take her back to the ship, Emmett recalled her telling him how to say "dive" in ASL and instructed her to jump into the water. Regan followed Emmett's instruction and dove in. With her out of harm's way, Emmett attacked the "Marina Man" with the net connected to the rope that was wrapped around his neck. Causing noise that attracted Death Angels who arrived at the port and attacked Marina Man's group and killed several of its members, including the leader. It is unknown whether the girl was among those killed or injured.
