John Burke Krasinski is an American actor, screenwriter, producer, and director. He is most widely known for his role as Jim Halpert on the NBC sitcom The Office, for which he received critical acclaim and won several awards. He also served as a producer and occasional director of the series.

He starred as Lee Abbott in A Quiet Place, as well as directing the film, executive producing it and writing the screenplay for it. He reprised his role as Lee Abbott in A Quiet Place Part II and directed, produced, and wrote it. He also produced and helped write the story of A Quiet Place: Day One.

By February 6, 2023, filming on A Quiet Place: Day One, a spinoff in the A Quiet Place franchise, had begun, with Krasinski posting various images from the set of the film that featured himself, director Michael Sarnoski and star Lupita Nyong'o. The film, also written by Sarnoski, was based upon an idea by Krasinski. The film was released on March 8, 2024.[1]

A Quiet Place Part III, A direct sequel to A Quiet Place Part II is set to be released in 2025.[2]
