The Marina Man was an aggressive man who attacked Emmett and Regan Abbott on Day 476 of the Death Angels' invasion on Earth. He is the leader of Marina Man's group. During the attack, Emmett signaled for Regan to dive into the water to evade the group as he grabbed the "Marina Man" and stabbed him in the leg, causing him to yell out and draw a creature to him. The creature then killed the "Marina Man", allowing Emmett and Regan to escape.

Day 476[]
After hearing a radio signal, Emmett and Regan began a journey to find an island of survivors. They eventually arrived at the Marina, where they came across a little girl, who was seemingly alone. She was crouched down on the deck and cowering. Emmett cautiously approached and the little girl tied a noose around his neck. The little girl was then joined by a group of scroungy-looking men, led by the "Marina Man." The group then got violent with Regan, ripping off her jacket and removing her implant. As they began to take her back to the ship, Emmett recalled her telling him how to say "dive" in ASL and instructed her to jump into the water.
Marina Man is killed by a Death Angel.
Regan followed Emmett's instruction and dove in. With her out of harm's way, Emmett attacked the man with the net connected to the rope that was wrapped around his neck. He then used the net to hold the man in place and stabbed him in the leg, which caused him to scream painfully. So a Death Angel would attack. Emmett fell backwards into the water, where he struggled for a moment to get the rope unwrapped from around his neck as the creature attacked and killed the "Marina Man." Emmett and Regan soon escaped to the island that they had sought.
